Topographia
My painting series *Topographia* delves into the layers and textures of urban landscapes, capturing the intricate patterns, structures, and contrasts of city spaces. I’m fascinated by how urban areas grow and evolve, how streets and buildings form a kind of organic pattern that tells stories of movement, interaction, and sometimes decay. In each piece, I play with perspective, mapping out familiar sights while abstracting them into something new, almost like a map of emotions and experiences rather than simple geography. Using bold lines, muted hues, and bursts of unexpected color, I aim to capture the pulse of these spaces—showing not just their physical form but the rhythm and energy that make them alive. This series is my way of translating the complex beauty of urban life onto the canvas, blending the raw reality of cityscapes with an almost dreamlike sense of place.
